Bob Appleton, Head Lad
Bob is originally from Manitoba, and has accumulated over 30 years of experience in the industry. As an experienced horseman, Bob has amassed a wealth of knowledge regarding horse care, which is evident in the physical and mental robustness of his charges. An avid fisherman, Bob can be found patrolling the lakes during the off season.

Denise Hinds
Denise joined the racing world in 1999 as a hot-walker and quickly moved on to grooming. She comments "In 1992 I began exercise riding and it was explained to me, at that time, that I wouldn't become a 'great' rider until I had fallen off at least 100 times -I was a "great" rider by the following week!" Denise has two young children and keeps the barn entertained with stories of the latest adventures of daughter Taya and son Talan.

Ilana Clenman
Ilana has been working with horses since 2004. She held her first postition at Windfields starting yearlings and has traveled and worked in South America, Panama, Argentina at ‘Harras La Pomme’. Ilana has her B.A. from McGill in International Development and East Asian Studies. Besides racehorses, Ilana’s interests include anthropology, sociology, international cultures and she is also an avid naturalist.
