I have had plenty of opportunity to observe the More Than Ready colt I purchased at Keeneland last year. He is out of Lickety Lemon who was an honest stakes class filly at Woodbine. I am very impressed! He has great, muscular conformation—what I call "equine eye candy"! More Than Ready progeny have already proven their quality in Australia, and I believe North America is, only now, finding out just how strong they are and how underrated he is as a stallion. I think this colt slipped under the radar at auction because he appeared small. However, he was a late foal, and is put together very well. I can’t wait to get this Canadian Bred to the races!
The management and staff of Payson Park have been treating us like welcome guests. Mike Rivers, the grounds manager, checks with me every day to make sure our paddocks, and maintenance of trails, dirt and turf tracks, are satisfactory. Mary Gallagher, has been wonderfully helpful with administrative details and is always smiling and very helpful.
